EPSS Opportunities Fund Program

Words Without Borders is collaborating with Employment Placement and Support Services [EPSS) to reach out to members of the Central Alberta communities who identify as having disabilities in order to help them “prepare for, obtain, and maintain employment.” To achieve this goal, EPSS is launching the Opportunities Fund Program to provide financial support to individuals in Central Alberta (see map here) who match the criteria for eligibility. Once an application has been approved, the funding may go towards things like training, testing, education and professional development, skills acquisition, job search, application and interviews and other matters based on the applicant’s needs and pending approval.

Our company will collaborate with EPSS by providing interpretation, translation, editing/proofreading and other language services as needed and requested as part of this initiative. We will be able to provide language services either remotely or in person by sending interpreters and language specialists to different parts of Central Alberta in order to support applicants and facilitate communication in training, professional development, interviews, application process and others.
