Our standard and customized examinations in interpreting are designed to assess the language-transfer abilities of an interpreter.

CILISAT

WWB is an authorized testing centre for the Community Interpreter Language and Interpreting Skills Assessment Tool (CILISAT) exam. This tool was originally developed in Ontario to evaluate the language and interpreting skills of people applying for certification as community interpreters.

Many stakeholders in Alberta require a CILISAT certification before contracting a community interpreter. WWB is proud to facilitate the assessment process for all individuals interested in taking the exam, and counts with a testing centre in Edmonton. We are in the process of obtaining authorization to establish a testing centre in Calgary.

Some Tips

Candidates to this exam will have higher chances to be successful if they are fully bilingual and have experience or formal education in interpreting.
